Founding EUYO Music Director Claudio Abbado dies, aged 80

The EUYO's founding Music Director, conductor Claudio Abbado has died, aged 80.

He was one of the most revered conductors in the world, and a pioneer in many respects.

His influence on the EUYO was tremendous and his legacy lives on in each and every one of our players.

EUYO quartet plays at 2013 "Les Etats de la France"

A quartet comprising some of the European Union Youth Orchestra's talented musicians appeared on the occasion of the 8th edition of "Les Etats de la France".

 

The players were: Bas Treub (Dutch violinist), Antoine Gramont (French cellist),Clément Holvoet (Belgian violinist) and Hugo Chenuet (French violist).
